INDIROOT - The Indian Pantry

I recently visited IndiRoot Indian Grocery store, and it was such a delightful experience! The store is super clean and very well organized, which makes shopping really enjoyable. The vibe is warm and welcoming, and they have an amazing selection of Indian pulses, groceries, and more. Beyond groceries, they also have a lovely range of ayurveda items, children’s books, handicraft bags, home decor items, and traditional sweets. They even have a brass selection imported from India, perfect for gifting or adding a special touch to your home. One of the cool things is that they’re currently working on a new restaurant and bakery area in the store, which will open soon. I can already imagine all the delicious food items and baked goods they’ll have, and it’s definitely going to be a big plus. On top of that, the music in the store is lovely, and the owners are incredibly kind and friendly, which really adds to the overall charm. All in all, it’s truly one of the nicest Indian stores I’ve come across in the Bay Area, and definitely a must visit if you’re looking for a great selection and a welcoming atmosphere.

Beautiful, modern Indian grocery store! This place is HUGE and full of every Indian grocery item you could ever imagine. There are also other things for sale such as books and decorations and religious items :)

This store is such a great find. The space itself is bright, thoughtfully laid out and really enjoyable to shop in. The selection is impressive. You can tell a lot of care went into curating everything because there are so many quality food items and ingredients that are hard to find elsewhere all in one place. What really stood out to me was how easy the experience felt. The aisles are well organized, the store is very clean, and the staff is genuinely helpful. When I had questions, they were happy to point me in the right direction and clearly knew their products. It’s the kind of grocery store you actually want to spend time in, whether you’re stocking up on staples or browsing and discovering new things. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others who love good food and a pleasant shopping experience.

Loved this store! Very easy to navigate, spacious, and has so much variety. It’s unique, not a typical grocery store. They also have books and an overall experience that makes shopping enjoyable. Really glad to have such a wonderful Indian store nearby!

New shop. Former Punjabi Bazar. Now they are big. I love this new location. Wishing them good luck. This part of the east bay needed a bigger Indian store like that. Thanks for opening it here. With no competition, this will thrive.

Incredible grocery store with so many different choices. Biggest Indian grocery store I’ve seen around here. Kind and welcoming owners and workers and beautiful store design. Very modern and clean.
